Client Reviews
J STrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I cannot recommend Dr. Sarah Friend highly enough. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I was in shock. I felt overwhelmed by information, confused about what came next, and scared. There were so many questions, so many decisions, and so much uncertainty that I didn't even know where to begin. Speaking with Sarah was one of the most helpful things I did after my diagnosis. She met me with genuine compassion and understanding at a time when I was struggling to make sense of everything. She took the time to answer my questions, explain what I could expect moving forward, and to help me understand the medical information in my complex labs that I couldn’t decipher on my own. What makes Sarah's work so important is that she provides support exactly when people need it most. After a cancer diagnosis, there can be a gap between hearing the news and feeling like you truly understand what it means, what your options are, and how to move forward. Family and friends may want to help, but they don't always have the knowledge to answer the questions that keep you up at night. Sarah fills that gap with medical expertise, empathy, patience, and practical guidance. After speaking with her, I felt more informed, more prepared, and more confident in my ability to navigate the road ahead. She helped me understand not only what was happening but also how to approach the journey in front of me. That sense of clarity and support was invaluable during one of the most frightening and vulnerable times of my life. For anyone diagnosed with breast cancer, I wholeheartedly recommend Sarah's services. She is exceptionally knowledgeable, deeply compassionate, and uniquely gifted at helping people find their footing after a life-changing diagnosis. The work she does as a coach is desperately needed, and I am incredibly grateful for the guidance and reassurance she provided when I needed it most. S NTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Sarah Friend has been an incredible breast oncologist. What sets her apart is her willingness to meet via Zoom and take the time to thoroughly answer every question without making you feel rushed. She explains things clearly, listens attentively, and ensures you fully understand your options and next steps. Her knowledge, professionalism, and accessibility make a real difference in the patient experience. I highly recommend Dr. Friend to anyone looking for a provider who is both compassionate and exceptionally thorough. V BTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Friend was incredibly professional while simultaneously providing the comfort of speaking to a friend who happens to be an expert in the field. I had several questions from the previous appts I made with different oncologists and it was great to get a clearer perspective on my concerns. What I appreciated most was how real and honest she was and also how easy and effortless it was to stop to ask questions. She did not sugarcoat anything or give vague and ambiguous answers to my questions. It was difficult to process and heavy at times, but if you value that kind of straightforwardness, she is for you. She explained so much of what and why certain recommendations are given, and helped me understand the pros and cons of all my options without feeling like she was pushing me to lean in one direction or another. If you are looking for an honest and real conversation where you can ask anything and not feel like you’re being rushed or your concerns are being minimized, I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Friend! Being able to speak with someone who is knowledgeable in the field and knows the ins and outs of oncology, she is an advocate worth meeting! B ATrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My husband and I consulted with Dr. Sarah Friend twice—once after my breast cancer diagnosis and again when chemotherapy was recommended and I wanted a second opinion. She was kind, well-prepared, and excellent at breaking down complex information in a clear, calm way. She took the time to walk through numbers and options, which helped me feel confident that proceeding with chemotherapy was the right medical decision for me. Her compassionate approach and willingness to answer thoughtful follow-up questions made a difficult process feel much more manageable. I highly recommend her to anyone navigating a cancer diagnosis. Sarah took the time to help me understand the whole process I was about to go through. I would recommend this service to anyone ! She was my medical oncologist from early 2018 to 2024, it was fantastic to reconnect and go over the several things that I’d developed questions about. She’s always been super supportive of my personal beliefs, always matched them with procedures and treatments that will help me on my cancer journey. I can’t say enough good about Dr. Friend! Her knowledge level is amazing, her compassion comes through constantly. Love her!! G CTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr Friend has been a literal life saver for our family. Her new service is creative, innovative, compassionate and well needed in today’s complex web of medical advice and care. Highly recommended! T JTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’m super happy to recommend Dr. Friend as an amazing consultant for cancer care. It was incredibly helpful to go over several questions I had—I just wanted another perspective and to hear things explained differently from what I get from my primary treatment team. Dr. Friend really listens. She took the time to understand my concerns and never made me feel rushed. Her advice is based on solid medical evidence, but she explains everything in a way that actually makes sense. No confusing jargon—just clear information I could understand and use. What I really appreciate is her approach to the consultation. She walks through treatment options, answers all my questions, and genuinely cares about my input. It feels collaborative, which gives me so much more confidence in the decisions I’m making with my primary oncologist. She’s also just really easy to talk to. Even when discussing scary or difficult topics, Dr. Friend made me feel comfortable and supported. She’s warm, approachable, and treats you like a person, not just a patient. If you need a knowledgeable coach who truly cares and communicates well, I can’t recommend Dr. Friend enough. She’s exactly the kind of physician you want helping you navigate your cancer journey. I found Dr. Friend and MyFriendMD when I thought I was going to be able to move my dad to Atlanta when he was no longer able to live alone. I only wish I had found her when my dad was first diagnosed. I don’t have any medical background and got thrust into having to understand my dad’s diagnoses, additional health issues and help navigate the months ahead. When I was able to make an appointment with Dr. Friend and go over his CT scan and have someone that truly explained it, provided unbias input, and then questions to ask I hadn’t thought of brought such comfort as well reconfirming the questions I had and did have with his current oncologist. I had to reach back out for additional advice on how to go about telling my dad his cancer had spread when his oncologist told me instead of him. She was able to get an appointment with me later that night and talk me through how to do it. Talked me through hospice options and even got me in touch with a hospice in my dad’s area so I could ask questions to be able to answer my dad’s questions and get them involved. I can’t tell you how thankful I am to have found her and MyFriendMD. If you are being a caregiver to a family member and need help, I highly recommend booking an appointment, you will not regret it.
