A breast cancer coach provides emotional, educational, and strategic support.

Dr. Friend offers this via personalized virtual sessions.

Absolutely not. myFriendMD complements—never replaces—your oncologist and care team. Your oncologist remains the cornerstone of your care. Our role is to support, educate, and guide you so you feel confident and informed throughout your treatment.

If you’re seeking a second opinion or need help understanding your plan, Dr. Sarah Friend will review your records and share insights based on the latest guidelines. She’ll help you interpret options, side effects, and personal priorities.

We also help you prepare questions in a safe, supportive space—so you feel heard and empowered.

Yes. As part of your session, second opinions are offered. Second opinions don’t mean something is wrong—they’re often helpful when there are multiple valid treatment approaches. During the session, your preferences and concerns will be addressed. This is about empowering you to make informed decisions- with support and understanding every step of the way.

No, myFriendMD does not perform surgeries or medical procedures.

However, we’re here to help you better understand your options- whether it’s choosing between a lumpectomy or mastectomy, or preparing for what to expect before and after surgery. Our role is to provide expert guidance, education, and support, so you feel confident and informed when making decisions with your surgical team.

It depends on your needs. Many clients find that one session is enough to get their questions answered and feel more confident in their treatment plan. However, if you’d like to explore your options more deeply or need ongoing support, additional sessions can always be booked. While most start with a single visit, package options may be available for those who prefer continued guidance.
